Three vehicle crash at bus stop kills two

Two people died and four others suffered serious injuries in a three-vehicle crash at a bus stop in Norridge, California. Investigators believe the accident may have involved "road rage" on the part of a motorist. Suffering a wrongful death as a result of the accident were a 19-year-old female pedestrian and a 24-year-old male who was behind the wheel of one of the vehicles involved in the accident.

The crash took place at approximately 8 p.m. The exact causes of the accident are yet to be determined and are the subject of an ongoing police investigation. The vehicles involved in the pileup were a van owned by an air-conditioning company, a blue pickup truck and a light colored sedan. A video of the scene taken from an aerial camera showed that the van rolled over, the pickup truck wound up on the sidewalk, and the sedan was crumpled in the crash.

Both the truck and sedan were reportedly traveling at speeds approaching 80 miles per hour as they went north on Tampa Avenue and kept going through its intersection with Roscoe Boulevard. The sedan collided with the van with an impact strong enough to cause the van to roll over. Subsequently, the truck veered onto the sidewalk, injuring the driver and two women waiting at the bus stop, resulting in the 19-year-old woman's death.

The van driver was injured and the sedan driver died at the scene of the accident. People injured in such accidents can recover medical costs, damages for pain and suffering and other expenses from responsible drivers, as well as compensation for any permanent injuries or resulting disabilities. The surviving families of those killed in a vehicle accident can also recover damages, including funeral expenses and the loss of their loved one's support and assistance.
